Master i Margarita - 2001
Face2Face
The Russian rapper Ivan Alekseev (°1985) started being interested in music at the age of ten. In 1997, he moved with his mother to Belgorod, where he won the regional competition for classical guitar twice. When he was 13 years old, Alekseev got under the spell of Nirvana and he formed his first rock band. Not much later he learned to know The Prodigy, and he began to combine rap with rock.
Alekseev took the pseudonym Noize MC, and together with his classmate Arkady - known as Adik - he formed the rap group VIP, which quickly got regional fame. In 2001, they formed together the hip-hop project Face2Face with which they would release four albums.
In 2002, Alekseev graduated from the local music school in Belgorod. He decided to move to Moscow to study at the State University for Humanities, which meant the end of Face2Face.
From 2007, the popularity of Ivan Alekseev as Noize MC increased. He is now one of the most popular Russian rappers who regularly rebels against the authorities. On the big demonstration against fraud at the elections on December 10, 2011 in Moscow, he spoke to the crowd, along with writer Boris Akunin.
In his Face2Face period, Ivan Alekseev made the song Master i Margarita, which was never released on an official album.
