La notte che arrivò l’inverno
La notte che arrivò l’inverno or The night that winter came is a collection of excerpts from the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, consisting of nine musical compositions made by the jazz quartet Musica ex Machina and illustrated by Francesco Frongia.
It was represented live at the festival Ai confini tra Sardegna e Jazz or On the borders between Sardinia and Jazz in Sant'Anna Arresi on Sardinia, on December 29, 2014.
Francesco Frongia (°1972) is one of the founders of the Mammaiuto Cultural Association, an Italian publisher of comic strips. He has created some comics himself and started teaching at the International School of Comics in Florence in 2005. Musica ex Machina was created in 2006. Their first album, Concerto-71109, was released in 2009.
