Biography
Pavel Zablotski was born in Dzerzhinsk, Belarus, in 1982. He attended the Children's Art School in Dzerzhinsk from 1991 to 1998, where one of his teachers was the famous graphic artist Vladimir Shcherbin. Together with other young artists he participated to various workshops in Macedonia in 1996 and 1997. In 1998 he was admitted to the preparatory school of the Glebov Art Academy in Minsk. He studied there until 2002.
From 1998, when he was 16 years old, he started a series of linocuts with scenes from the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. In 2002 he became workshop assistant at the graphic department of the Children's Art School in Dzerzhinsk. He also became part-time art teacher at the basic school in Veliko Selo, his hometown. He won prizes in almost all national and international competitions to which he participated.
