The most famous illustrators who immortalized the story of The Master and Margarita in color are probably the brothers Aleksander Traugot (° 1931) and Valery Traugot (1936-2009), both born in Leningrad. They worked together under the pseudonym G.A.V. Traugot. In 2005, Vita Nova published a special deluxe edition of The Master and Margarita with illustrations by the brothers.
A special mention deserves Anna Gheorghita. This Romanian artist is an ardent admirer not only of The Master and Margarita, but also of this website. Arina wanted to support the website, and she made some exclusive designs, of which we then promptly made posters, greeting cards, calendars and even playing cards. You can find them in the shop of this site.
