Biography
Pavel Orinyansky was born on November 22, 1955 in Yampol, a small town in the province of Vinnitsa (Ukraine). He is probably the most famous illustrator of The Master and Margarita. It started with 13 illustrations, and grew to a portfolio of 44 graphic works, covering all chapters of the novel.
At the entrance of the Bulgakov House in Bolshaya Sadovaya number 10 in Moscow you can admire a nice selection of life-size images of this portfolio. In 2007, the Russian publishing house Panpress used Pavel Orinyansky's works for a luxury edition of The Master and Margarita.
