Biography
Aleksandr Petrovich Botvinov, who calls himself occasionally Aleksandr Sarmant , is a Russian artist from Rostov-on-Don. He made a series of remarkable illustrations for The Master and Margarita, on which quite some contemporary politicians and celebrities like Michail Gorbachov, Dmitri Medvedev and Vladimir Putin are depicted.
