Anya Conservi is a young illustrator and all round artist from Obninsk, Russian Federation, who started a project called ЮФ [Yuf], which is the Cyrillic transliteration of the English word Youth.

With this project, she wants to read, illustrate and comment books which are worth reading. She does this with videos in which she gives her impressions while you see her illustrate the book in question with quick, simple, but clear and expressive drawings.

Her videos can be found on YouTube and on various other social media like Instagram, Twitter and vKontakte with the slogan я читаю с Аней Консервы [ya chitayu s Aney Konservy] or I read with Anya Conservi. Across the various media, she already has more than one hundred thousand followers.

Her first video was launched on August 31, 2019, and is about The Master and Margarita. She chose our favourite novel from her school summer literature list, but her viewers and followers may make suggestions for the following videos.

Her goal is to show young people of the new generation the way to worthy texts. «After all, reading is not just useful, but really cool», she said.
