Кинетическая представление Мастера и Маргариты
14 марта 2012 г.
A few days ago, I started a new majorproject for this website: making an inventory of all theatre performances which were and are created worldwide on the theme of The Master and Margarita. The work soon appeared to be larger than initially planned. After a few days I have listed 412 different theatrical versions, together accounting for more than 20,000 performances.
As a result, the section Theater adaptations of this site will be thoroughly revised, though it may take some time before you will be able to see the results on the website.
During my exploration I have made some nice discoveries, for one of which I want to interrupt my research work to a add new page to the website.
In Glasgow (Scotland) you can visit the Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre. It is a theatre without human actors. The sculptures of Edward Bersudsky and Tatyana Jakovskaya are the ticking, ringing, whirring and rotating stars of the show. The audience watches the sculptures move into life, each accompanied by a folk song, a classical medley or merely haunting sound effects.
One of the installations is an interpretation of The Master and Margarita.
