The Master and Margarita

Today exactly 40 years ago The Master and Margarita was published for the first time - be it heavily censored - in the Russian literary magazine Moskva. According to Yevgeny Abelyuk, a literature lecturer in Moscow, young Russians read the book now at the age of twelve - and when they are 14 years old they would have read it already twice or even three times.

The Bulgakov house, which contributes to the party spirit, is not entirely pleased with the success. In the museum are presented some primus stoves. But two of them are already taken bij too great fans of Behemoth.
