Allison R. Barbour

Allison R. Barbour (1978) is een Amerikaanse tekenares van webcomics. «I have a dull full time job and an overactive imagination», zegt ze over zichzelf. Deze verbeelding leeft ze helemaal uit in haar stripproject Thistle Salad. Zij is van Russische afkomst, maar ze heeft De meester en Margarita in het Engels gelezen.

In 1999 heeft ze een gedeelte van hoofdstuk 28 - waarin Korovjev en Behemoth het warenhuis Torgsin op stelten zetten - verwerkt tot een strip van acht pagina's in het Russisch. Ze verontschuldigt zich wel voor haar Russisch: «My hasty translations aren't perhaps going to be the most helpful things in the world.»
