Soraya - The Master and Margarita
English > Adaptations > Music > Rock & Roll > Soraya
We have little biographical information about the singer Soraya Beheshti. On Instagram and TikTok she presents herself on the account so.rayamusic as a «wannabe musician by night» and a «Mermaid of the psychoverse & purveyor of philosophy memes». Fortunately, her music sounds less esoteric than this last description might suggest.
At first, Soraya's songs were released on the Dubai-based GXR Music label. Later, she moved to Empire, an independent American record label, distribution and publishing company.
On January 19, 2024, we received the message that GXR Music had released Soraya's song The Master and Margarita. «The song was co-written with the actor Adrian Grenier and, since the book mentions that this ball takes place in a different city each year, we wrote the song imagining it taking place in contemporary Texas (where we wrote it)», Soraya told us.
On this page you can listen to the song and watch the A.I. generated video clip of it. On Soraya's Instagram account we also found a reel with a partial recording of the slightly rougher Margarita's Grand Ball. If this song is ever released in full we will be sure to add it to these pages.
