The Master and Margarita

The British composer Marc Teitler and composer/lyricist Tim Philips are working together in the musical partnership Tight Lip, which is intended as an incubator for musical projects on stage and on screen. They write music, operas and musicals, produce records, and make short and feature films and commercials for television.

In 2006 they made the album Burn Me Dead, a musical based on a text of the same title by Carl Grose and Jon Broadbent, which in turn is an adaptation of The Master and Margarita.

According to several sources, preparations are being made to stage the musical at the National Theatre Studio in London. The management agency Amanda Howard Associates from London reported that director Lu Kemp is working on it.
