Kristina Berts - Master i Margarita
English > Adaptations > Music > Pop music > Kristina Berts
In March 2018, the young Russian singer and poet Kristina Berts (°2001) surprised the Russian pop world with the release of a professional video clip of her song Давай сбежим в лимб [Davay sbezhim limb] or Let's run to the Limbo.
She did not come out of nowhere, since Berts had just finished a training at the showbiz school Эколь [Ekol] - the Russian transliteration of the French École or School - in Moscow. This private school offers singing, dancing and acting lessons to children from 4 to 18 years old, and Berts had been already noticed there.
At the end of December of the same year, Kristina Berts released the song Мастер и Маргарита [Master i Margarita] on various internet platforms. She wrote the lyrics herself and the music was composed by the Ukrainian Sergey Demyanchuk (°1983), a member of the Russian boys band Премьер-Министр [Premyer-Minister] or Prime Minister, the band which represented Russia in 2002 at the Eurovision Song Contest in Talinn, Estonia.
