Biography
Iker Spozio, (°1972) born in a village near the Lago Maggiore in Italy, is an illustrator and graphic designer. He has collaborated with several record labels, radio stations, and fashion and music magazines. From 2001 to early 2005 he illustrated the magazine Ptolemaic Terrascope. His illustrations have been published in several magazines and newspapers worldwide, including Le Monde (France) and El País (Spain).
Since The Master and Margarita is his favourite novel, Spozio decided to start with his project to illustrate the novel. The idea was to illustrate each chapter of the book, including the epilogue, plus two panels that would make the front and back covers of the book, in case a publisher ever got interested in printing the whole thing. He managed to make fifteen engraved panels, corresponding to the novel's first fifteen chapters.
Unfortunately, lack of time made him stop the project, but he hopes he'll eventually be back to it. From May 15 to June 15, 2012, Spozio exhibited his illustrations at the Museum M.A. Bulgakov in Moscow.
