In 2006 the Russian icon painter Leonid Kovtun, who is in general more inspired by the Renaissance or the New Testament, ma-de a series of twelve nice aquarelles which he called Мастер и Маргарита. Иллюс-тации к роману М.Булгакова or The Master and Margarita. Illustrations of the novel by M. Bulgakov.
It's a series of twelve illustrations which he published on the internet.
Kovtun, born in Vinnitsa (Ukraine) in 1953, studied at the M. Grekov Institute of Arts in Odessa and is now a painter of mainly non-canonical icons, and a teacher of painting.
