Bad luck
February 17, 2011
On the popular Russian web portal Узнай всё (Uznay vsyo) or Explore all, the Russian journalist Arseny Avramenko made an overview yesterday of the terrible things which happened, after the shootings, to the actors who have played a role in the TV series Master i Margarita by Vladimir Bortko.
Valentin Gaft, who combined the roles of Caiaphas and the chief of police, lost his 29-year old daughter who had hanged herself in the hallway. Valery Zolotukhin who played Bosoy, lost his 27-year-old son in the same way.
Kirill Lavrov, who played the role of Pontius Pilate, got cancer and died on April 27, 2007. Aleksandr Adabashyan who played Berlioz, had better luck, though he barely survived a heart attack. Anna Kovalchuk, Margarita, divor-ced shortly after the shooting.
Vladislav Galkin, performing Ivan Homeless, was found dead in a rented apartment in Moscow on February 27, 2010. He was discharged from the hospital a few ays before. The autopsy doctors concluded that the body of the actor was severely worn due to use of alcohol. He was 39 years old.
And finally, you’ll sure remember that still Aleksandr Abdulov, the personifi-cation of Koroviev, died of lung cancer on January 3, 2008. He was 54 years old.
Perhaps we should mention on our DVDs, just like they do on a box of cigarettes, that playing a role in The Master and Margarita can seriously harm your health.
